    Alsumaria News - Security

The security coordinator for projects to relieve traffic congestion and the follow-up staff officer in the Council of Ministers, Major General Jassim Al-Zubaidi, vowed today, Monday, a campaign against trespassers on the banks of the Tigris River, indicating that whoever motivated them to trespass is known and we will hold him accountable legally.

Al-Zubaidi said, “A meeting was held last week with general directors of the Real Estate Registry at the Ministry of Justice, the General Authority for Surveying at the Ministry of Water Resources, and the municipalities of Doura, Al-Rashid, and Baghdad Agriculture, to determine the banks of the Tigris River and remove violations within the administrative borders of the capital,” according to what the government newspaper Al-Sabah reported.

He pointed out that "the trespassers caused confusion in some areas, including Al-Bu'itha, in addition to their presence in the face of the flood wave," stressing that "the trespassers caused damage to the soft areas that were wide and have recently become narrow."

Al-Zubaidi stated that “the trespassers caused the accumulation of rubble on the banks of the rivers, encroaching on the citizens’ share, and distorting its appearance instead of it being a beautiful place for the citizen to rest and relax, like what is found in the Abu Nawas Corniche, Adhamiya and Kadhimiya.”

He pointed out that “those who motivated these trespassers to build their homes and projects on these lands are known and legal measures will be taken against them,” noting that “a campaign to remove the trespasses will take place even if these projects cost billions, as the first and last goal is to restore the beauty of these areas instead of making them just a wasteland.” Visual distortions."
