It seems that the Federal Court has blocked the path of violations and violations against the Kurdistan Regional Government through the decisions issued regarding employee salary files, and the Baghdad Commission’s supervision of the region’s elections according to a new mechanism, as well as Kurdistan’s commitment to hand over all oil and gas revenues and border crossings.
Decisions came after reaching closed roads in the meetings in which the two parties did not reach solutions despite the tireless efforts to end the disputes from the central government, by implementing the legal articles and paragraphs that Kurdistan has refrained from implementing since the formation of the government until now.
*Reducing corruption deals
Speaking about this file, the Al-Fatah Alliance describes the decisions of the Federal Supreme Court regarding the Kurdistan Region as “courageous and historic,” while stressing that the localization of the salaries of the region’s employees in Baghdad will limit the size of the corruption files that took place in the previous period.
The leader of the coalition, Aed Abdel-Sahib, said in an interview, “The decisions did justice to a large segment of the region’s employees in the previous period,” noting “the necessity of questioning the Kurdistan government after it did not implement those decisions.”
He continues, “These decisions will solve the salary crisis and reveal the true numbers of employees through the government and the Ministry of Finance’s direct supervision of the file,” pointing out that “not delivering salaries to employees in the period preceding several months is against the law.”
He states, “The competent authorities have confirmed that there is a significant exaggeration in the number and size of employees in the region,” adding that “the localization of the salaries of the region’s employees in Baghdad will limit the size of the corruption files that took place previously.”
