    Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan held discussions on "the importance of political stability" in Iraq, according to the Turkish Anatolia Agency.

    Fidan met with Sullivan in Washington to discuss the latest developments related to the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.

    According to diplomatic sources, Fidan stressed to the American official the need to declare a ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible, and to increase humanitarian aid to the region.



    The Turkish Minister also stressed, during his meeting with Sullivan, the necessity of ending the Russian-Ukrainian war and not prolonging it further, while emphasizing its resolution “within the territorial integrity and political integrity of Ukraine.”

    On the other hand, Fidan affirmed Turkey’s determination to “fight terrorist organizations in Syria

    and stressed the need for the United States to move in line with the spirit of the alliance and sever its relations with extensions of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.

    According to sources reported by the official Turkish media, “during the meeting, they discussed “The importance attached to political stability in Iraq, and discussing developments in Iraq, especially combating terrorist organizations that find a foothold in the country.”
