Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed the necessity of ending the issue of tribal conflicts and facilitating the work of state agencies. This came during his meeting yesterday, Sunday, with a group of people and notables of the city district located north of Basra Governorate, at the conclusion of his visit to the governorate.
The Prime Minister explained during the meeting, according to a statement from his media office, that “the visit to Basra is a translation of the government’s approach to reaching the furthest point, listening to citizens and identifying their needs,” noting “the opening of factories that have been idle in the governorate since 2003, as well as trading with the local government in Detailing the service and social reality of the governorate and the obstacles and problems facing work.”
Al-Sudani pointed to “the priorities of government work that touch the actual needs of citizens,” stressing that “it is not possible to talk about services and development without maintaining security and stability, and this will only be done through the stance of our authentic tribes with the state, just as they defended Iraq during the war against ISIS gangs.” ) Terrorism after the blessed fatwa of the religious authority.”
The Prime Minister stressed “the necessity of ending the file of tribal conflicts and facilitating the work of state agencies,” stressing that “all requests, especially related to the service file, will find their way to processing.”
He pointed out that “a committee from the federal ministries with full powers will arrive in the governorate and hold a special meeting in northern Basra, and will take all the required decisions,” indicating that “improving the type of service provided to the citizen, by addressing negatives and corruption, is a task that requires community awareness, revival of values, and performance.” Responsibility of departments.
During his visit, the Prime Minister met with a group of tribal sheikhs and notables of the city district in Basra Governorate, the host of Sheikh Rashash Al-Emirate.
He stressed, according to a statement from his office, the importance of enhancing security and stability and the cooperation of tribes with the efforts of the security services, in order to secure the implementation of service, social and development programs, and follow up on the completion of projects, stressing the important role of tribes in supporting the state and the law and enhancing societal security.
Al-Sudani also chaired a meeting in the city district, which included the heads and directors of the formations and administrative units of the northern areas of Basra Governorate, in the presence of the local government and officials of oil companies operating in the governorate.
The Prime Minister said, according to a statement: “This visit comes within the government’s approach to reaching the most remote districts and districts, providing services similar to the centers of large cities, and learning about all the obstacles and problems facing its residents and service agencies.”
Al-Sudani followed the conditions of the youth of the city district, attributed their employment within the existing oil companies, and directed, “to establish a training and rehabilitation center for the social benefits of companies, concerned with qualifying young people, developing their skills, and facilitating their enrollment in working in the oil sectors in various specializations, in addition to directing to reconsider the mechanism used for employment.” ".
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, in a statement, that “the most prominent projects of the third phase of infrastructure development work in the city district in Basra Governorate, which were launched by Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani yesterday, Sunday, included implementing the work of sewage and rainwater networks, constructing main streets, and extending drinking water pipes.” “In order to serve the seven largest residential neighborhoods in the district, in addition to implementing and modernizing the electrical power distribution and communications network.”
The statement added, "The projects also included the establishment of a medical city in the name of the martyr Izz al-Din Selim, which includes a 100-bed hospital, an advanced cancer treatment center, a 50-bed thalassemia and blood diseases center, and a dialysis center, as well as the establishment of 3 model health centers for primary care to serve the residents of the district and its environs." .
