    BAGHDAD / NINA / Senior American officials confirmed that "the Islamic State organization will not be able to control Baghdad, pointing out that the restoration of Mosul and Anbar take several months."

    They said in a press statement after meetings with deputy national security adviser to the White House, Anthony Blinken and other American officials with senior Iraqi officials last week during a visit to Iraq, "elements of the (IS) were repelled while attempting to advance towards Baghdad."

    They added that "the campaign against / IS / in Iraq will take several months, and the restoration of key areas such as the city of Mosul and Anbar will take for several months."

    The American delegation visited Baghdad last week, during which he met with Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari to discuss the efforts of the international coalition against IS. / End
