Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, warned today, Thursday, of attempts to target the Federal Court, describing them as “dangerous” and exposing the country’s security to a threat.
Al-Mandalawi expressed, in a statement received by Mawazine News, “the legislative authority’s support for the Federal Supreme Court, in a way that enhances its role in preserving the unity of Iraq, preserving the constitution, protecting the modern democratic system, implementing justice, and achieving the rule of law.”
He added: "We warn against attempts to target the Federal Supreme Court, undermine its legitimacy and independence, and question the integrity of its decisions."
Al-Mandalawi described this as “a dangerous step that exposes the country’s security and stability to a threat,” calling for “the need to support its efforts in addressing national issues and preserving the constitution and public money.”
Al-Mandalawi expressed, in a statement received by Mawazine News, “the legislative authority’s support for the Federal Supreme Court, in a way that enhances its role in preserving the unity of Iraq, preserving the constitution, protecting the modern democratic system, implementing justice, and achieving the rule of law.”
