    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, said today, Tuesday (March 26, 2024), that “there are plans being implemented by various means with the aim of undermining the entity of the Kurdistan Region,” noting that his government “will take a decision tomorrow, Wednesday, that is in the interest of the citizens.”
In a speech during his  participation this evening in a Ramadan Iftar banquet that brought him together with a number of citizens in one of Erbil’s mosques, Barzani expressed his “sincere thanks to the citizens for their steadfastness, patience, support, and trust in their government, especially as they face various reasons aimed at obstructing the sending of their salaries.”
The Prime Minister of Kurdistan Government also reassured citizens about the issue of salaries, and stressed “the regional government’s commitment to addressing this issue with the federal government, to reach a solution that is in the interest of the people of Kurdistan and Iraq as a whole, without giving up any of our constitutional rights.”
He also pointed out that "there are many plans aimed at undermining the entity of the Kurdistan region by various means, and he expressed his regret at the presence of hateful views towards the Kurdistan region," indicating that "what makes the matter worse is those who support this chauvinistic view from within the region, to undermine the region's entity and its achievements."
He stressed that "the establishment of the Kurdistan region was not a gift or a favour, but rather the result of a long struggle in which the martyrs gave their blood and great sacrifices," explaining that "the constitution defines the rights and duties of the region, and we did not hesitate to fulfill our obligations despite the violation of many of our rights and the violation of what it stipulated." the Constitution".
He pointed out that "the front for defending the experience of the Kurdistan region and respecting the blood of the martyrs and the years of struggle is much broader than those who limit the problems of the region and the issue of the people of Kurdistan only to the issue of salaries," stressing "the necessity of protecting the experience of the region and the struggle of those who sacrificed their blood for it."
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Government called on "all Kurdistan political parties to give priority to the public interest over personal and partisan interests," stressing "the necessity of working to serve citizens without discrimination, in a way that preserves their rights and preserves brotherhood between the components and nationalities coexisting in Kurdistan and Iraq."
Barzani expressed his "sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported the people of Kurdistan and the victory of truths, in Baghdad and various parts of Iraq," stressing that "their support represents support for the constitutional rights of all Iraqis without exception."
Barzani stated, “Iraq is a rich country, but its wealth and resources were not managed optimally, and that the country could become one of the best countries in the Middle East if its wealth was managed efficiently. He stressed that achieving this requires joint work, mutual respect, and acceptance of others.”
Barzani said, "The Kurdistan region intends to live together in peace with all its brothers and sisters throughout Iraq, and the rights of all components must be respected in order to build a prosperous and advanced country."
He urged all parties to unite efforts under the umbrella of the sacred goal, the highest interest of citizens, and securing their rights, noting that “the problem is not limited to salaries only, but rather it is a nation issue and a land issue, and he reiterated not to give up any right guaranteed by the constitution to the citizens of the region.”
Barzani explained, "The Kurdistan Council of Ministers will hold its weekly meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, and will take a decision that is in the interest of citizens, with the participation of all parties."
