Next June is the date for adopting electronic payment in Karbala

The Holy Governorate of Karbala has set next June as the date for starting electronic payment at all its gas stations.
Hussein Al-Khazali, media official for the governorate’s branch for distributing petroleum products, told “Al-Sabah”: The governorate, in order to keep pace with cultural development and the shift from cash to electronic payment, is moving towards adopting it in all gas stations at the beginning of next June, especially since this is consistent with the ministry’s directives to shift towards automation. At the stations, pointing to coordination with one of the companies concerned with this aspect to issue payment cards to citizens, in addition to providing the stations with devices for this process.
He pointed out that the company had launched the electronic payment process at the beginning of this year in its government stations only and achieved success, especially after the positive interaction of citizens with it, explaining that Holy Karbala is one of the first governorates to launch this service in its stations.
