Ali Al-Fatlawi, a member of the Al-Fatah Alliance, stressed the need to support the government and exert political pressure in order to end the American presence inside Iraq, pointing out the importance of everyone coming together to achieve Iraq’s sovereignty and stay away from Washington’s pressure.
Al-Fatlawi told Al-Maalouma, “There is a need to exert political pressure in order to end the presence of foreign forces in Iraqi territory and to support the government’s position in its efforts and negotiations to end this file.”
He added, "Iraq's sovereignty requires the solidarity of all components in order to end the American presence on Iraqi soil, and to end the hegemony and pressure exerted by Washington in various fields against Baghdad."
He stated that "America has some cards that it can use as a pressure factor against Iraq, although there is a possibility to overcome these pressures through security and political decisions and for Iraq to resort to other friendly countries to secure its needs, enhance security, and avoid any American pressure."
