    Economy News _ Baghdad
The Ministry of Transport announced today, Sunday, the return of a CRJ900 aircraft to service in the air fleet.
A statement from the ministry received by “Al-Iqtisad News” stated, “In line with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi, to adhere to timetables for returning grounded aircraft to service, the Iraqi Airways administration announced the return of a CRJ900 aircraft to work within the company’s air fleet, to be the ninth aircraft to be returned to service.” ".
He added, "The aircraft with the registration mark YI-AQB carried out its first test flight yesterday (Saturday) successfully after completing all maintenance work on it according to the bulletin issued by the manufacturer. The technical department personnel were also able, for the first time, to complete the task of replacing the aircraft's landing gear at the company's maintenance center after it had been repaired." In the past, this operation was carried out outside Iraq and at a high cost of money.”
He continued, "Work is continuing to return the other parked aircraft to service through the efforts made by the company, both at the level of maintenance work carried out inside the country by its engineering and technical personnel and others carried out in cooperation with major international companies to resolve this issue."
