    The President of the Republic, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Monday, May 27, 2024, at Baghdad Palace, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Iraq, Cui Wei.
    During the meeting, the President of the Republic stressed the keenness to strengthen Iraqi-Chinese relations and the necessity of joint work in order to develop and consolidate them, noting the importance of benefiting from the experiences and expertise of the People's Republic of China in the fields of industry, environment, agriculture and energy.
    The President of the Republic pointed to the security and economic stability and their positive repercussions on building, reconstruction and investment plans, noting Iraq’s desire to maintain communication and build good relations with neighboring countries and the world.
    For his part, the Chinese ambassador renewed his country's support for Iraq's efforts to maintain its security and stability, and to continue working to enhance and develop the prospects for cooperation and joint work between the two friendly countries and peoples.
