{Economic: Al-Furat News} The Board of Directors of the Torbali Chamber of Commerce in Izmir announced their intention to hold a business forum in Erbil soon that brings together Turkish and Iraqi businessmen.
This came in a statement by the Torbali Chamber of Commerce, on Friday, after its meeting with the Minister of Component Affairs of the Kurdistan Government, Aydin Marouf.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Torbali Chamber of Commerce, Abdul Wahab Olgun, said: “This forum, which we will hold in Erbil, will be a great opportunity to introduce the opportunities that Torbali offers to Iraqi businessmen.”
According to the statement, Minister Marouf stated that Turkey has an important position in Middle East trade, noting that Iraqi businessmen should be brought together with Turkish businessmen, with the contribution of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce.
He said: "The trade relations planned to be established between Turkey and Iraq will make significant contributions to the economic development of both countries."
He added: "Organizing joint business forums and trade exhibitions will enable businessmen in the two countries to get to know each other more closely."
