Today, Wednesday, the head of the Parliamentary Rights Bloc, Saud Al-Saadi, revealed an appeal submitted by a number of representatives to the Federal Court regarding the current year’s budget tables.
Al-Saadi told Al-Maaloma Agency, “There are objections from many members of the House of Representatives to the 2024 budget schedules that were voted on, noting that the budget includes a clear violation of the Iraqi constitution.”
He added, "The budget tables violated the law by not being read in the first and second readings, but rather they were read in one reading before being voted on in a hurry."
He pointed out that "there are objections to the allocations to the governorates, as well as the allocation of funds for the Basra-Oqaba pipeline, pointing out that a number of representatives have submitted a number of appeals against the budget schedules before the Federal Court." Ended / 25h
