Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Ministry of Oil confirmed, on Wednesday, its commitment to reducing oil production under the Declaration of Cooperation (DoC) agreement.
She explained in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that estimates indicate an increase in production during the month of May by 203 thousand barrels above the prescribed quota, while emphasizing Iraq’s readiness to compensate for any increase in production since the beginning of 2024.
According to the statement, Iraq will continue to maintain the required production level of 4 million barrels per day during the coming months, with its commitment to compensate for any increase in production during the compensation period until the end of September 2025.
