[size=52]Kurdistan responds to a letter from the Federal Court about localizing its employees’ salaries[/size]
[size=45]The Kurdistan Regional Government welcomed the Federal Court’s response on the issue of localizing salaries of the region’s employees.[/size]
[size=45]The government said in a statement that it “welcomes the letter of the President of the Federal Court, which includes a response to a letter from the Prime Minister of the region, as the letter stipulated the freedom of salary recipients in the Kurdistan Region, like their peers in the rest of Iraq, to deposit their salaries in any private or public bank they wish, within the framework of the banks participating in this process.”[/size]
[size=45]She added that "the Federal Court's letter represents a positive and fair step, which will allow salary recipients in the region the freedom to choose the bank in which they wish to deposit their salaries."[/size]
[size=45]The government added that it "will continue to work in accordance with the instructions of the Central Bank of Iraq, and the banks participating in the (Hisabi) project must continue the process in accordance with these instructions, so that all salary recipients in the region must be registered in this process by the end of this year."[/size]
[size=45]It seems that the Kurdistan government read the Federal Court’s answer as a green light that will revive the Hasabi project, as Baghdad will not impose settlement with the Trade Bank of Iraq, for example, and there will also be freedom to choose the bank.[/size]
