The official spokesman for the ministry, Ali Abbas Jahagir, stated that it became clear to his ministry through its follow-up of the implementation of the national plan for the return of the displaced, that the displacement file will not be closed according to the previously set date, which is the 30th of this month, attributing this to the implementation of the national plan for voluntary return facing several problems that still exist, and the ministry’s teams are seeking to solve them, the most important of which is the hesitation of most families to return voluntarily, and their preference to remain in the camps of the region, because their cities are still destroyed, according to them.

He added that the past period witnessed exams and families' commitment to following up on their children's academic status, which led to their unwillingness to register for voluntary return, expecting that the displaced file will be closed approximately one month after July 30, considering that adding a month to the date will not affect the displacement file, especially after resolving the obstacles that contributed to delaying the closure of the file, the most important of which is the completion of all exams by displaced students.
