    The Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works announced, on Saturday, the completion rates of two important water projects in Anbar Governorate, while confirming that they will soon enter service.
    The Director General of the General Directorate of Water at the Ministry of Reconstruction, Ammar Adel Al-Maliki, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Reconstruction and Housing, Anbar Governorate was visited today to inspect the investment plan projects implemented by the General Directorate of Water, one of the formations of the Ministry of Reconstruction, Housing and Public Municipalities. During the visit, the Fallujah Water Project was inspected, with a production capacity of 4,000 cubic meters per hour, serving about 200,000 people from the city of Fallujah."

    Al-Maliki added that "the project is located on an area of ​​22 dunums, and is one of the important projects in the investment plan of the General Directorate of Water," noting that "the project was halted after being sabotaged by ISIS criminal gangs, and work was resumed by a decision of the Ministerial Council for Economy in January 2024."

    He pointed out that "the project completion rate has reached 70%, and work is proceeding at an accelerating pace at the project site. It is possible to inspect all facilities, and within days and before the specified contractual period, the implementing agency will begin pumping water to the people of the area."

    He pointed out that "the visit also included a visit to the Baghdadi water project, one of the investment plan projects included in the government program adopted by the Iraqi government, which has reached a high completion rate estimated at about 99%, and it is hoped that it will enter service and witness the opening soon."
