On Tuesday, Minister of Finance Taif Sami Mohammed chaired a meeting to review the recommendations of the action plan for the second phase of the UNCTAD project.
The Ministry of Finance said in a statement, seen by "Economy News", that "Minister of Finance Taif Sami Mohammed chaired today a coordination meeting to review the recommendations of the detailed work plan for the second phase of the UNCTAD project for the General Authority of Customs, in the presence of the Directors General of the General Authority of Customs, the Legal Department, the Information Technology Department and a number of relevant officials."
It added, "The review of the recommendations contained in the content of the letter of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the National Data Center Department, regarding the detailed work plan for the second phase, which was agreed upon between the Customs Administration and the UNCTAD team based on the provisions of the payment terms contained in the project document, was discussed," noting that "the recommendations were sent under the concluded agreement to the Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister's Office and the Border Ports Authority."
