    Shafaq News/ The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, met today, Wednesday, with the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, "Prashant Biss", on the occasion of the end of his term.
    A statement issued by the presidency stated that President Nechirvan Barzani thanked the Indian ambassador for his efforts in strengthening relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region and wished him success in his new mission.
    For his part, the Indian Ambassador thanked President Nechirvan Barzani and the concerned parties for the support he received in the success of his mission, and stressed the importance of strengthening relations and joint cooperation in all fields with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
    The meeting, which was attended by the Consul General of India in the Kurdistan Region, discussed the situation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, relations between Erbil and Baghdad, and the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, according to the statement.
