    Baghdad:
    The President of the Rusafa Court of Appeal, Judge Imad Al-Jaberi, stressed the need to resolve lawsuits within the specified timeframes, stressing the importance of preserving family ties and taking them into account when issuing decisions.
    A statement by the Supreme Judicial Council, received by "Al-Zawraa", stated that "the President of the Rusafa Court of Appeal, Judge Imad Al-Jaberi, held a meeting with judges of personal status courts to discuss the problems and obstacles they face during work, in the presence of members of the Civil Cassation Authority."
    He added that "the meeting addressed the opinions of members of the Civil Cassation Authority regarding the work of judges and the observations indicated therein."
    He pointed out that "the meeting included the directives of the President of the Appeal regarding the work of personal status courts and ways to develop them and address the obstacles that hinder their work."
    The President of the Rusafa Appeal stressed "the need to resolve the lawsuits brought before them within their time limits in accordance with the provisions of the law," stressing "the importance of raising the scientific aspect of judges and reviewing the directions of the Federal Court of Cassation and the Court of Appeal in their original capacity when issuing decisions."
    The head of the Court of Appeal explained during the meeting: “The judge’s work in the field of personal status cases, in addition to his work being legal, has a legitimate and humanitarian aspect and entails the rights of litigants, in addition to its impact on the family, which is considered the nucleus of society,” stressing “the necessity of preserving family ties and taking them into account when issuing decisions.”[/size]
