The Coordination Framework revealed, today, Monday (September 9, 2024), the truth about withdrawing its support for Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
The leader in the framework, Aqil Al-Radini, said, “The talk about the Coordination Framework withdrawing its support for Al-Sudani is incorrect. The framework, with all its forces, is still strongly supporting the current government and its president, and the success of the government is a success for all the forces of the framework.”
Al-Radini explained that “the existence of some differences in viewpoints does not mean that there is a dispute and conflict, as this difference in opinions is a natural thing, but all the forces of the framework strongly support Al-Sudani and his government and are working to make the government successful in various files.”
During the past few days, there have been rumours among political circles and media outlets about disagreements among the leaders of the Coordination Framework, which prompted the latter to withdraw support for the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, against the backdrop of the “wiretapping file” that was recently revealed.
An informed political source reported on Wednesday (September 4, 2024) that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed the need to hold accountable anyone proven to have committed any violations in his office.
The source said in a statement, "Al-Sudani confirmed during a meeting of the Coordination Framework that he will hold accountable anyone proven to have been negligent in the matter of violations in his office, and he also expressed his full support for the judicial procedures."
The source added, "The Coordination Framework, for its part, made it clear that it supports the government's efforts to implement its program to serve citizens."
Earlier, an informed source reported that the Coordination Framework held a special meeting to listen to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani regarding the violations found in his private office during the past period, which were known as the Mohammed Juhi case.
