MP Mohammed Al-Khalidi denied that the Sunni component was the reason for not choosing the Speaker of Parliament.
He added in press statements that the national space is the solution to the problem of choosing the Speaker of Parliament due to the numerical nature, and there is more than one experience in this regard, the most important of which is choosing Barham Salih as President of the Republic after a competition inside the Parliament with Fuad Hussein, both of whom represent the Kurdish brothers, indicating that the national space is the only criterion for solving this problem, which has become an obstacle to the progress of the political process.
