Modern technologies for winter agriculture in Muthanna

The Directorate of Agriculture in Muthanna Governorate has prepared a plan to make the winter agricultural season a success, by providing pesticides, chemical fertilizers and other supplies, for the purpose of distributing them among farmers.
Director of Muthanna Agriculture, Raed Rahim Issa, told Al-Sabah that the directorate has contracted with solid investment companies through the governorate’s investment authority and the Ministry of Agriculture, and has developed a plan to implement its investments on the entire area allocated to it, through the use of modern irrigation techniques and land management, in addition to companies specialized in livestock, raising and producing poultry meat and table eggs, which have brought production to (30) million eggs per month.
He pointed out that the directorate is a service, advisory and technical department, as the Agricultural Guidance Department provides the method of dealing with pesticides, fertilizers and seed types, as well as planting dates, type of plowing and land management, in addition to providing pesticide services free of charge with support from the Ministry of Agriculture.
