Al-Baiji calls for expediting the disbursement of farmers' dues as soon as their crops are delivered

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Independent Representative Mansour Al-Baiji, Prime Minister, asked to instruct the Ministry of Finance to pay farmers' dues as soon as they hand over their agricultural crops of wheat and barley to the stores of the Ministry of Trade and without delay, as it is the entitlement of farmers and not a favor from anyone.
He explained in a statement: "The funds allocated to farmers were included in the current year’s budget that was voted on in the House of Representatives, and has come into effect. Therefore, there is no reason to delay the payment of farmers’ dues after they deliver their crops to the state. "
He stressed: "The agricultural sector is one of the most important sectors in the country after the oil sector, and it is imperative for the government to provide it with full support for its advancement by supporting the farmers and providing everything he needs, especially after the qualitative boom achieved by agriculture in our country and providing the full food basket for our people."
Al-Baiji added: "The continuous support for the agricultural sector and farmers will achieve a great qualitative leap in agriculture, and we will work to export our agricultural crops and cut off imports, which requires the Iraqi government to support the farmer and meet all his needs in order to portray the agricultural sector in the country similar to neighboring countries."[/rtl]
