    Baghdad Today - Sulaymaniyah
Economic expert Farman Hussein commented today, Tuesday (October 1, 2024), on the possibility of benefiting from Lebanese investors and businessmen within the Kurdistan Region, as a result of the deteriorating situation in their country .
Hussein said in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "the Kurdistan region is a fertile environment for investment, but at the present time, and as a result of the economic crisis that the outside world is experiencing, any investor will hesitate to come to the region ."
He added, "There are many Gulf and Arab investors in the region who have contributed to many projects, but due to the economic crisis, this will affect the arrival of businessmen, whether from Lebanon or any country currently witnessing security and political conflicts."
While Iraq awaits a possible wave of Lebanese citizens fleeing the war in their country, social researcher Mustafa Al-Taie reveals the extent of the negative social impact of the wave of Lebanese displacement to Iraq during the coming period .
Al-Taie told Baghdad Today on Sunday (September 29, 2024), "The cultural and value-based impact resulting from the displacement operations carried out by Lebanese families and before that Syrian families to Iraq has a great impact on Iraqi society due to the difference in social and family upbringing, especially if the migration is dense and the residence is in specific governorates because this causes a difference between their original culture and the culture of the host country (Iraq) and this difference reflects the state of integration among the immigrants," noting that "we will certainly see among the displaced a strong attachment to their original values, and this is what causes a difference in the system of social norms, values, traditions and daily behaviors that are determined by those values that the person was raised on."
The Lebanese displacement crisis continues for the seventh consecutive day after the intensive Israeli attack on Lebanon, which has so far caused nearly one million Lebanese to leave their areas of residence.
