Minister of Water Resources discusses with Turkish Ambassador activating the provisions of the framework agreement regarding the implementation of irrigation projects

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / Minister of Water Resources, Eng. Aoun Diab Abdullah, chaired the meeting, which was held in the presence of the Turkish Ambassador to Iraq, Anil Bora Inan, and the accompanying delegation, represented by the President of the Turkish Contractors Union, and a number of businessmen and specialists at the embassy.
The Minister stressed during the meeting, according to the ministry's statement, the desire of the two countries, through communication and continued meetings, to transform all agreements, including the framework ones, into a tangible practical reality.
He explained that water resources management in Iraq needs to be fully developed, as the first Iraqis were known for using modern technologies in the field of sprinkler and drip irrigation by implementing many projects, and now, after the security stability, the government is working to achieve a qualitative shift in construction and reconstruction in all fields, including the irrigation sector, as the water file is of great importance to the Prime Minister.
He stressed: We are all confident in the efficiency of Turkish companies and their ability to innovate and develop by establishing infrastructure for irrigation projects and water harvesting dams as a first stage, in addition to a number of projects within the second package, which are being prepared.
For his part, the Ambassador and the Turkish Contractors Union expressed their happiness with the development of bilateral relations and reaching understandings between the two countries and opening horizons for cooperation and coordination in accordance with the framework agreement signed between Iraq and Turkey, in addition to continuing meetings and exchanging visits at the ministerial and technical levels to take steps to implement the provisions of the agreement on the ground by introducing competent Turkish companies and investors with global experience to implement projects according to international specifications. / End 9[/rtl]
