[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Ministry of Electricity revealed the results of implementing the electronic collection system, and disclosed its continuation with the smart transformation mechanism project to manage the electricity grid.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Ahmed Al-Abadi, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /, that "the ministry works in partnership with the private sector in service and collection contracts, and part of these contracts succeeded and are still working, and the other part left the standards of the agreement and contracts, so the contract was terminated by mutual consent."
He added, "We will proceed with the smart transformation mechanism project for the electricity grid, and this will be a reason to organize distribution networks and control loads and install smart meters "free of charge to citizens" in order to provide service to agricultural areas and slums in a way that reduces losses, controls energy loads and maximizes collection resources, according to the request of the government and parliamentary committees."
