The leader of the Azm Alliance, Muthanna Al-Azzawi, confirmed, on Monday, that the recent political movement of the political forces of various orientations and the confirmation of the three presidencies, the republic, the ministers and the judiciary during his last meeting and his call for the necessity of ending the crisis as soon as possible.
Al-Azzawi said in a statement to / Al-Maalouma / agency, "The pressures exerted by the political forces of various orientations, most notably the forces of the Coordination Framework, regarding resolving the crisis of the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the confirmation of the three presidencies, the republic, the ministers and the judiciary, during its last meeting and its call for the necessity of ending the crisis as soon as possible, led to opening dialogues between those Sunni forces in order to reach an agreement to hold a session to elect a new Speaker of Parliament."
He added, "The dialogues led to an agreement by most political forces, including the Sunni forces, except for one party, to settle the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives and support MP Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani in any upcoming session."
State of Law Coalition member Haider al-Lami confirmed to / Al-Maalouma / that there was a Sunni-Shiite agreement to support MP Mahmoud al-Mashhadani for the position of Parliament Speaker, expecting the election session to be held as soon as possible. End / 25m
