Defense Ministry revealed on Monday, the special service conscription law on the legal controls [Military Service Law.
Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier Mohammed Saadoun said told all of Iraq [where] that "conscription law will include age groups from age 19 to 45 years."
"The law will depend academic achievement in the length of service," explaining that "the graduates of the primary school will serve for one year and four months, while the serve graduates of the study junior high for a period of one year, and graduates of bachelor nine months," he said, adding that "the master's and doctoral graduates exempt from service." .
He pointed out that "the law includes 75 legal material relied on the legal legacy of the former conscription law, in addition to Article IX of the second paragraph of the Iraqi constitution."
The Ministry of Defense announced earlier, sending military service law to the Council of State after pleading are unanimous in the Defense Council.
