The head of the human rights committee of the European Parliament Elena Valenciano said in astatement that "tens of thousands of civilians trapped in the city between the barbaric rule of Daash who shoots anyone trying to leave and the Iraqi government , which surround the city and cut forces all supply routes them in their quest to regain control of it . " .
Valenciano and explained that "there are reports that the lack of medicines and medical equipment and the lack of a massive food what drives people to eat grass and burning anything they have to survive."
The European Parliament urged the international community to "move in the face of this tragic situation in order to facilitatethe opening up corridors for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the civilians who have a right to protection and assistance."
And it considered that if this is not done , "the results of the blockade could become even worse."
The World Food Program of the United Nations, has warned of the seriousness of the food situation of some 60 thousand civilians trapped in the city of Fallujah, noting that the development of these very troubling and will deteriorate more likely to enter aid to the city.
A report by the World Food Program , "while the siege of Fallujah continue for a third consecutive month , it is not registered on the index improved in March and food prices remain high and stocks in stores and homes are running out." Q ended
