Said Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangana, Thursday, suspension of Iranian gas export contracts to Iraq, while the reasons attributed to "the existence of problems in the Iraqi system."
He Namdar Zanganeh in an interview with the site Sputnik (Sputnik) news on the sidelines of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries meeting (OPEC) in the Austrian capital Vienna, and I followed (range Press), "The agreement with Iraq gas contracts have been suspended due to problems in the Iraqi system."
Zanganeh added that "We have two contracts to export gas to Iraq and we are ready to export gas to Baghdad," adding at the same time, "but they do have some problems with the system."
It is noteworthy that the planning director of the National Iranian Gas Company Mohammad Reza Zadeh Qudsi stressed during the month of May 2016, that the gas export to Iraq is one of the top priorities of Iran.
It is noteworthy that Iraq and Iran have signed, in August 2013, on-running six-year agreement provides for the import of Iraq's seven million cubic meters of Iranian gas per day, this figure rises gradually until it reaches 25 million cubic meters two years later, so take advantage of it to feed two power plants in Baghdad and a third in Diyala, with a line length of 270 km, extending from fields (Pars) Iranian South all the way to Iraq.
