BAGHDAD / NINA / The MP, of the Kurdistan Alliance, Ashwaq al-Jaaf
called the head of the Islamic Supreme Council, Ammar al-Hakim: "to go
other faster step to collect the parties again to the dialogue table."
She
said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The
national meeting called by al-Hakim recently was to break the stalemate
and stagnation between the leaders of the political blocs and this is a
positive step," but she pointed out: "This meeting did not achieve
anything at the level of the current political crisis."
She added: "The next meeting must include an agenda and a clear roadmap to resolve the problems."
It
is mentioned that the leaders of the political blocs held a meeting
last Saturday at the headquarters of the Supreme Islamic Council after
an invitation called by the head of the Islamic Supreme Council, Ammar
al-Hakim to bring the views and the removal of political differences.
The
meeting was attended by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Parliament
Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi and a number of leaders of the political blocs,
with the absent of the Iraqiya President, Iyad Allawi and President of
Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani as well as Muqtada al-Sadr.
The meeting saw a handshake between Maliki and Nujaifi after a political break that lasted several months. / End
