    (IraqiNews.com) MP Ali al-Timimi of the Sadr Trend stressed that the
    new alliance between the Ahrar bloc and the Citizen Coalition to form
    the provincial councils will ensure the success of these councils and
    lead to calm down the tensions as well.

    It
    was reported the day before yesterday that the alliance between the
    State of Law Coalition headed by the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki and the
    Citizen Coalition chaired by Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Supreme Iraqi
    Islamic Council has been canceled.

    Timimi
    said “The alliance between the Ahrar Coalition and the Citizen
    Coalition and their cooperation to form the PCs will ensure the success
    of these PCs and help calm down the Iraqi street as these two coalitions
    represent the moderate trends, also they represent the opinion of the
    supreme religious authority in Iraq.”
