Iran has asked Turkey, which is campaigning in northern Syria to stop "fast," their operations to avoid further complicating the situation in the region, Iranian media reported on Wednesday.
A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Bahman Ghasemi on state television's statements today, that "the continued military presence of Turkey in Syria further complicates the situation."
He stressed that the clashes in northern Syria, "lead to the killing of innocent people is necessary to stop the army's military moves quickly."
Ghasemi added that "all States to respect Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity," stressing that "the fight against terrorism must not weaken the legitimate government" in Syria, as he claimed.
It is noteworthy that the military offensive, which is unprecedented by Turkey in northern Syria, aimed at organizing Daesh Kurdish fighters in the People's Protection Units, and Washington's allies in the war against Daesh.
