FM Undersecretary, UN official discuss Syrian refugees conditions

[ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations, Nizar al-Khairallah discussed with the Regional Coordinator for Syrian Refugees, Panos Momtzis, the situation of the Syrian refugees.[/ltr]
[ltr]A statement by the Ministry reported “The FM Undersecretary met with the regional coordinator and his accompanying delegation where the Undersecretary praised the historical relations and the family ties between the Iraqi and Syrian peoples.”[/ltr]
[ltr]“The regional coordinator appreciated the Iraqi government and people’s attitude in assisting the Syrian refugees,” the statement added.[/ltr]
[ltr]“The Iraqi official promised to follow up the topics the delegation reviewed which are related to blocking the borders and the aids Iraq offers to the Syrian refugees and the Cooperation Agreement concluded between the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and Iraq,” the statement concluded.[/ltr]
