Buffalo Bills must clean house if the team loses to the Browns

No matter if you’re the Buffalo Bills or any other team in the NFL, no game presents an absolute win. Ever. It doesn’t matter who you are, you can lose any given week to even the worst of teams. Just look at the year Miami knocked off New England in Week 16 for example. Even in these games, the worst in the NFL can rally themselves and give it their best to walk away with a surprise W.

In the current era of the NFL, no team has been worse than the Cleveland Browns. This year may be the worst one of them all though given that Cleveland is on the verge of going 0-16. With the Buffalo Bills being the next team up for the Browns, it is imperative that the Bills win this game. If not, it will then be time for a complete rebuild with the Bills. In other words, it will be time to clean house.
While it is never good for the team to put the pressure to win on themselves too much, this week is different. Even star players like Sammy Watkins know that this game is a must-win for the team. Talking about the game, Watkins did a very good job summing up what it going through the team’s mind at this very moment.
“We know if we lose, something crazy might happen immediately. We need to go out there and win this game.”
That “crazy” is something that could simply be the firing of Bills head coach Rex Ryan. That “crazy” could be a complete overhaul of this team. Should this team lose to the Browns, the blame will come squarely down on both the coaching staff and the team’s top players. With the talent on this team, we should have no problem defeating the Browns.
Should the unthinkable happen though, ownership needs to come crashing down on this team. A loss to the Browns would be the ultimate slap to the face for this franchise right now. It should receive a massive response from ownership in the terms of firings, trades, and releases this offseason.

Will it be the end of the world if Buffalo were to lose to the Browns at home on Sunday. No, but it would sure feel like it.
