The Board of Commissioners of judges assigned to the Electoral Commission on Sunday decided to re-process the counting and sorting manually according to the decision of the Federal Supreme Court for the electoral centers on which a complaint or official reports were received on suspicion of forgery only.
The official spokesman of the Commission, Laith Jabr Hamza, said that the Board of Commissioners held an extensive meeting today to discuss the third amendment to the electoral law, which is included in one of its paragraphs (if it is proved that there are irregularities in obtaining such votes as forgery and others are re-counting and manual counting stipulated in Article 1 in these centers and intact In the votes of voters who obtain legally and have not received complaints or not mentioned in the official reports related to violations).
Hamza stressed that on this basis was approved to return the counting and sorting for the polling stations, which received complaints against the UNHCR.
He added that he will be instructed to all managers of electoral offices in the provinces of the need to transfer the boxes of centers that have received complaints with the electronic verification (barcode).
The decision of this Commission may be a shock to the political blocs participating in the elections, which was waiting for the counting and counting processes to be fully and to all polling stations in all parts of Iraq and abroad.
