Trump launches attack on Germany NATO summit: "captive to Russia"

(Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Direct US President Donald Trump drew a stern attack to Germany, saying: "Berlin has become Khadgh full control by Russia."
Trump, speaking in Brussels on Wednesday, expressed his concern that Germany has become captive to Russia because it receives between 60 and 70% of energy needs.
He referred to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project as a particularly "inappropriate" project.
The US president again called on all NATO members to increase their military expenditures "immediately."
Trump recently wrote on Twitter that US-led NATO spending was much higher than any other country.
Trump is scheduled to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macaron later in the day.
He is also scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on July 16.
The 28th annual summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) will continue in the Belgian capital Brussels today and tomorrow.
