An American newspaper revealed on Thursday details of the meeting behind the scenes between the head of the Fatah alliance Hadi al-Amiri, the envoy of US President Brett McGurk and US Ambassador Douglas Silliaman, noting that the Americans admitted their inability to penetrate the Iraqi arena.
