North Korea and South Garntha opened the first joint liaison office in the border area between the two countries.
The office will allow them to communicate regularly for the first time since the Korean War ended more than 60 years ago.
In the past, countries used fax services and private telephone lines to communicate.
The office will act as a joint embassy to promote greater understanding and cooperation between them
