A delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party led by Nechirvan [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]met with Adel Abdul Mahdi, the most prominent candidate for the presidency of the federal government.
The delegation included the Kurdish Democratic Party candidate for President Fuad Hussein, in addition to the leadership of others from the party.
The source pointed out that the Kurdish delegation is discussing with Abdul Mahdi the formation of the Iraqi government and the mechanism of choosing the President of the Republic.
Iraq's parliament is due to resume a presidential election on Tuesday after failing to pick a candidate for the post since 2005, and for the first time a confrontation between the two main Kurdish parties.
