The IMF lowered its forecast for global economic growth in 2018 and 2019, noting: "Trade tensions between the United States and China are adversely affected, and emerging markets suffer under more difficult financial conditions and capital outflow."
The new outlook, announced at the Indonesian resort of Bali, where the IMF and the World Bank are holding their annual meetings, shows that the strong growth spurt fueled by US tax cuts and increased import demand has begun to weaken>
