A parliamentary source said on Thursday that there is no approval within the House of Representatives to form a commission of inquiry into the circumstances of the election of the new governor of Babylon, Karrar Abadi.
"No agreement has been reached on the formation of a commission of inquiry in the circumstances of the election of the governor of Babylon," the correspondent of the N news agency quoted a parliamentary source as saying.
He added that "the number of voters for the formation of the Committee was 59 votes out of 214."
On Tuesday (6 November 2018), the deputy of the Alliance of Saron Sabbah al-Saadi announced that he had asked the Speaker of the House Muhammad al-Halbusi to form an investigative committee on the issue of electing the governor of Babel.
