Newspaper reveals the details of the gathering of Fayadh with the US ambassador

The Lebanese newspaper "Al Akhbar" revealed on Monday details of the meeting of Interior Ministry candidate Faleh al-Fayyad with US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman, noting that the latter called on Fayadh to withdraw his candidacy.
"Fayyad met last Saturday with US Ambassador to Iraq Douglas Silliman, who advised him to withdraw his candidacy in order to preserve the political process and to prevent an explosion close to the Iraqi street," the newspaper said in a report.
She added that Fayyad, in turn, responded that his attachment was not a personal decision, because he was the prime minister's candidate first and supported by the second construction.
The newspaper said that "the attendance of deputies to the meeting yesterday was not" as expected, "according to sources in the« construction », which sees a failure to« sharpen », compared to the presence of the previous meeting (Tuesday), where the number of participants about 160 deputies.Ending / 25
