{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The National Coalition, Saturday, the file nominated candidates to assume the functions of the Ministry of Defense denied the existence of Major General Mohammed al-Ani among them.
The Coalition said in a statement received by the {Euphrates News} copy of it today, that "the National Coalition would like to show the public opinion that the leader of the coalition Iyad Allawi presented to the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, a group of names on behalf of the Alliance of Reform and Reconstruction to fill the post of Minister of Defense.
He stressed that "Allawi resolved the nomination file and submitted the names and there is no room for the nomination of new names, it completely denies his knowledge of the names promoted by some means, including Major General Mohammed al-Ani, which was not among the names nominated by Dr. Allawi to fill the position."
