A member of the parliamentary energy committee, Jamal al-Muhammadawi, presented a set of documents that show the authenticity of the information that reveals that the oil ministry supplied oil company with fuel oil, causing a financial loss of 17 million dollars in the contract between the Ministry of Oil and the Arab Maritime Transport Company.
Al-Mahmoudawi said in a press statement received by "Mawazine News", a copy of it, "While we emphasize our keenness to deal with all files professionally and objectively and from the position of responsibility and in response to what dealt with the Director General of the Iraqi Tankers Company on our statements regarding the contract of the Arab company, The oil products distribution company in the Ministry of Oil No. 19707 dated 17/12/2018 and the consignee to the South Distribution Commission. The decision of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil to re-equip the Iraqi tanker company with the quantity of fuel oil from the share of the carriers (Arbil, Karbala, Baghdad) for the month (April, / 2018) and the amount of 19800.
He added: "The book of the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company No. 12512 on 5/12/2018 requires the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs to approve and instruct the distribution company to process the planned quota of fuel oil."
"Any denial by the company needs evidence before public opinion and regulatory bodies and may be evidence of condemnation rather than a patent evidence," he said.
MP Jamal al-Muhammadawi revealed at a press conference on 16/1/2018 about the financial waste of 17 million dollars in the contract of the Arab Petroleum Transport Company.
He pointed out that the partnership contract signed by the Iraqi oil tanker company of the Ministry of Oil with the Arab Petroleum Transport Company included a waste of more than $ 17 million for three months only (April, May and June 2018) in an irresponsible and surprising process.
He explained that the Iraqi government imports gas oil at $ 660 per ton and sells it to this Arab company for $ 340 per ton and a loss borne by the general budget of the country for the benefit of the said company. Added to that loss is the sale of black oil, which represents the output of local refineries at 120 dollars per Ton, while the world price per ton of black oil (440) dollars, a difference lost by the Ministry because of the distribution company of petroleum products equipped the Arab company quantity (63 thousand tons) of black oil and (11 thousand tons) gas oil during the three months mentioned fuel to (7) carriers leased by the company Rbia note that the Iraqi Oil Tanker Company profits from the leasing process for months mentioned does not exceed $ 5 million Vqt.anthy 29 / h
