US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Tuesday accused Iran of working to curb Iraq's "freedom and independence".
Pompeo's speech came during a speech to the Davos community via video.
"We need all countries to contribute to security," he said, recalling that "we defeated the Caliphate State in Iraq and Syria."
"Iran continues to strive to limit the freedom and independence of Iraq," Pompeo said.
"Iran's threat to the region is real," he said, adding that "we are working on forming an alliance against Iran and urging."
