Central Bank of Lebanon employees are moving towards an open strike

(Reuters) - Central Bank employees are in the process of making a decision to suspend a strike at their general assembly meeting on Tuesday and work will resume later, the head of the Banque du Liban staff union told Reuters.
"We are going to give good faith to this issue and suspend the strike on the market reality and (even) the market," Abbas Awada said in a telephone conversation.
The work would resume after a press conference following the meeting of the General Assembly.
Bank employees went on strike on Monday to protest the draft budget proposals that would reduce their salaries.
