Trump: The Iranian economy has reached the stage of death .. They are in total chaos
Trump said in a tweet on Twitter that the situation of the Iranian economy is getting worse and Iran is suffering from "total chaos".
Trump used to make statements about the "collapse" of Iran's economy and the country's proximity to the "edge" to hamper its activities.
More recently, the World Bank predicted Iran's economy would shrink by 3.6 percent in 2019 against a 1.5 percent contraction in 2018 and a 1.1 percent growth in 2020 and 2021.
Last April, the International Monetary Fund predicted that Iran's economy would shrink by 6 percent in 2019, from 3.9 percent in 2018.
A second round of US sanctions against Iran, which came into force on November 5, 2018, targeted the oil, energy and gas industries and their products.
Iranian President Hassan Rowhani admitted earlier this year that the country was facing the greatest economic pressure since the outbreak of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
