    The US State Department revealed on Saturday the nature of the new sanctions imposed by the United States on Russia against the background of the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergey Scrippal in Britain in 2018.
    "Washington will oppose any help to Moscow" by the international financial institutions, "said US State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagos,

    The statement said the measures would come into effect after the 15-day notice period, meaning that this would happen in August or "close to that date," according to a subsequent statement from the Foreign Office.
